PS3 questions
Июн/090
We have a DVR cable box, a JVC surround with DVD and now the PS3 and we are having fits trying to figure out how to get the sound hooked up so all will play through the surround system. There don’t appear to be enough ports to have digital sound from both the cable and the PS3 to the JVC. I know there has to be a way to do this but I am at a loss other than hunting for a digital port Y cable. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have read all of the posts on the PS3 posted here and learned a lot but still have a few more questions before we decide to purchase one. In reading the Sony site it says in one place that you can use component cable connections for HD (ypbpr2) and then in another place it says for blue ray disks to play you must use HDMI connections. Our HD TV does not show HDMI in the manual, I have not twisted myself into a pretzel to look at the back to see if in fact one does exist that they haven’t mentioned in the manual. The TV is 2 years old so it really may not have one. Can you actually play blue ray movies using the component cable hook up? If not then there is no point in even thinking about getting a PS3 until we upgrade the TV.
