I got the 80 gig a few weeks ago and thing is off the charts on the wow factor, anyways, I notice it blows out quite a bit of warm /hot air. I been reading and it seems normal but my question is how long can it withstand the heat? And would it be a good idea to get a external fan on it or intercooler? If so i found this one do you think it would do the job without causing issues?

It’s really not necessary unless the exhaust is causing your other
things to heat up too much. Int hat case, you should move the PS3, not
add more fans. The PS3 can take it, so don’t worry about it. There was a
stress test a while ago that put the PS3 in a sealed box and then played
games on it, or ran folding on it 24/7. The temp got up really high,a nd
it kept chugging along. They eventually got tired of waiting for it to
die, and ended the test. Other consoled crapped out. ;-)
