Sometimes people will open it up and increase the laser strength, or even replacing the laser/lens assembly. These should be last resorts, though. And don't be afraid to play your console. There's nothing that you can do "wrong" to make this problem happen. I know people who played many times more than me that never had the problem, and people who played less that also had it.
